WEC Group Apprentices Achieve 100% End Point Assessment Pass Rate
EngEPA is delighted to congratulate WEC Group on a major milestone, with 100% of its third-year apprentices successfully passing their End Point Assessments (EPA) at the first attempt.
The assessments, held at the WEC Engineering Academy in Blackburn on 17 and 18 August, marked the first time WEC Group has delivered its apprenticeship programme as an employer provider.
The welding apprentices were assessed through a combination of a multiple-choice questionnaire, a six-hour practical assessment and a professional discussion with EngEPA. All 12 apprentices successfully passed every assessment method at their first attempt, with six going on to achieve a Distinction.
The achievement is particularly significant as WEC Group celebrates the 20th anniversary of its Engineering Academy, which has trained more than 430 apprentices over two decades, including 200 in the last five years.
